The nearby villages of Moniga and Manerba are really most attractive but the regular boat trips available from nearby Desenzano are definitely the best way to see most of the pretty lakeside villages.

An ideal place for relaxing or as a base for exploring the countryside and nearby towns this park is located on Lake Idro, one of the smaller Italian lakes, west of Lake Garda, and offers superb views of the surrounding area. As motorboats are not permitted the lake it is perfect for windsurfing or swimming. Just 1km away you will find the small town of Crone or you can use the park's own restaurant, bar and shop. East of Idro is an enormous natural area that extends right to the western shores of Lake Garda; and to the North of the lake is the mountainous province of Trentino or Alt'Adige.

Head to the lakeside beach (direct access from site) and enjoy canoeing, water skiing or windsurfing, before relaxing over a meal at the welcoming restaurant. The site is split by two roads, with an underpass and roadside attendants for pedestrians.

This attractive park on the eastern shores of Lake Garda is situated just outside the small village of Cisano di Bardolino to the north of the old Venetian port of Lazise. San Vito is set just away from the lake but shares facilities, including a lakeside beach, with adjacent Cisano; access via an underpass. A welcoming and friendly park which has the advantage of generally grassy emplacements on both sites, with holiday homes on San Vito and canvas on Cisano. San Vito has a small pool, but most facilities, including a larger pool complex, restaurant and bar, are on Cisano. There's a lively animation programme from mid-May when games and competitions are on offer for all the family as well as fortnightly outdoor discotheques.
