Most amenities are open in early season, but the park only becomes really lively during high season, when discos are held both indoors and out in the warm night air. Yet it's the splendid beach that you're sure to love most. With direct access from the park, its huge expanse of gently-shelving sand is a splendid place to relax. But if you can bear to tear yourselves away, you will find delightful resorts such as Cap d'Agde and Valras-Plage, which are both within easy reach.
Dormaine de Chalain at Lac de Chalain, Jura

Ideally situated on the banks of a fabulous natural lake and surrounded by the foothills of the Jura; Domaine de Chalain is a quite spectacular park. It features a fantastic pool complex with waterslides, children's pool, jacuzzi and heated indoor pool. A wide range of sporting activities are available, although some may not be available until July. You have free access to the pool however there is a credit system in operation, please ask at time of booking. The adjoining lakeside beach is a great place to soak up the sun, but you can also fish, swim, or hire a pedalo or canoe. There are also many beautiful walks and gorgeous wine villages to be explored and the many attractions of Switzerland are within easy reach.

Situated within walking distance of Vic-sur-Aisne, this attractive park has is ideal for children with a special parkland play area, 3 pools (one of which is under cover). These are overlooked by the terrace bar and restaurant, which are attractively housed in rustic farm buildings. You can hire pedalos and canoes on the small campsite lake. There are also two lakes available, one for swimming, the other for fishing. On site there is also a beauty therapy and gym centre where you can take advantage of the services of qualified professionals. The forests make for delightful walking and you can also enjoy a round of golf at the nearby course. Paris is just a short drive, and Disneyland Resort Paris is only 90 km away.

This first rate, steeply terraced park with its ochre buildings blends into the scenery so well that when you first set eyes on the glorious swimming pools, they create a quite startling contrast. The heated, jungle themed children's pool is not to be missed. The Esterel hills, with their wooded slopes and pink outcrops, are also truly breathtaking. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers, with many superb walks, from gentle strolls to robust hikes.
