Le Clarys Plage at St Jean Plage, Vendee

In a very popular family area, this excellent park is regarded as one of the best in the Vendee. It is located close to the beach, just a ten minute walk, and five miles south of the busy town of St Jean-de-Monts (which also has some great beaches). The focal point of this modern park is the swimming complex that has outdoor and indoor pools, heated pools, jacuzzi and slides/chutes. There is also an excellent children's play area, which along with the many activities makes this a popular family resort. The park runs entertainment throughout the season and there are many local restaurants close by.

Camping le Ruisseau at Biarritz, Gascony

Camping le Ruisseau is a well equipped, top quality family run site. Situated in the Basque country and close to the sea, the majestic peaks of the Pyrenees rise in the distance. The pitches here are set in shady oak land and the site boasts its own lake, which is ideal for a quiet spot of carp fishing. The fantastic pool complex incorporates waterslides, a jacuzzi, sauna and an expansive sun terrace. Sports opportunities are plentiful take to the tennis courts or the gymnasium, while young children will love the excellent play area and trampolines. In the evenings, entertainment is laid on during the height of the summer in the popular lively bar and on the terrace. The site lies close to a motorway but traffic noise is minimal.

Les Sablons is a pleasant, good quality park with an excellent range of facilities that include a friendly bar and restaurant, as well as a pool complex with swimming and children's pools, and great waterslides. Most amenities are open in early season, but the park only becomes really lively during high season, when discos are held both indoors and out in the warm night air. Yet it's the splendid beach that you're sure to love most. With direct access from the park, its huge expanse of gently-shelving sand is a splendid place to relax. But if you can bear to tear yourselves away, you will find delightful resorts such as Cap d'Agde and Valras-Plage, which are both within easy reach.

Les Mediterranees Beach Garden at Marseillan Plage, Languedoc

This is an ideal retreat for families, with an excellent pool complex, plenty of on-site activities and direct access to the beach. Children will love the activities and entertainment available at the Beach Club, just five minutes from site. Once a week, a local market visits the site offering a good selection of local food and wine. Alongside the pool area you will find a large sun terrace and a modern restaurant, where delicious regional specialties are served (plus a fantastic selection of ice cream for dessert!) After your meal, relax in the lounge bar and enjoy some live music and entertainment. If you?re after a lie in, breakfast can be ordered from the restaurant and is delivered to your emplacement the next day.

Sol a Gogo at St Hilaire, Vendee

The Camping Sol-a -Gogo is a well kept park with direct access to a superb beach. Just a short stroll from the resort of Les Mouettes, the park has a fantastic swimming pool complex with water chutes, waterslides and a covered pool. In high summer the park entertainers organise a range of family activities including regular discos in the bar. Some noise may be heard from the local road. The park is close to the lively resorts of St Hilaire and St Jean de Monts.

The high point of many people's holiday here is the wonderful swimming pool complex with its sun terraces, outdoor pool, choice of water-slides, heated indoor pool and even a jacuzzi. And yet, the magnificent beach at Merlin Plage is just a short stroll away, with the beaches of St Jeande- Monts just a little further. Even so, superb swimming facilities and wonderful beaches are only a small part of the reason for coming to this super park. There is an excellent children's play area here, and activities are first class too, with lively regular entertainment in the bar throughout the season, sometimes going on quite late in high summer. There are also several restaurants open nearby in the height of the season. Some of our pitches are across a road from the main park facilities.

The park has excellent facilities including a great pool complex with waterslides, a lazy river, a covered pool and a spacious sun terrace. This spectacular park that is ideally situated on the banks of a natural lake and it is surrounded by the wooded foothills of the Jura. Park residents are entitled to free access to the pool according to a credit system for entry, please ask at time of booking. There are also many beautiful walks and gorgeous wine villages to be explored and the many attractions of Switzerland are within easy reach.

Sarlat is only a short drive from the park and the beautiful riverside towns of La Roque-Gageac and Beynac are both accessible by road or river.

Ty Nadan offers excellent facilities, not least of which are three outdoor pools, an indoor pool and spa with an impressive waterslide and twisting water chute. With an indoor complex for badminton and rock climbing this park is perfect for active families, with evening entertainment for everyone organised throughout the season. Its wooded parkland setting is ideal for exploring on foot or on horseback and more energetic activities such as river canoeing, sea kayaking and guided mountain bike tours are also available.
