Sarlat is only a short drive from the park and the beautiful riverside towns of La Roque-Gageac and Beynac are both accessible by road or river.

Based in the north west of Paris, Camping International is close to a local train station, just a twenty minute journey to the city centre and a direct journey to Disneyland Resort Paris. What's more Versailles is only 20 minutes away by car. This site is all about its location and as a result the facilities are quite basic but do include a shop and bar. The local town of Maisons Laffitte is walking distance and there you will find some good restaurants, a supermarket and local shops. Barges and trains can be heard on-site.

On land the accent is on quiet enjoyment, Ciboure is calm compared to its busy fishing port neighbour of Saint Jean-de-Luz, but there is still plenty to keep you busy. You're not too far from the Spanish border, with the beautiful Pyrenees rising in the south.

Club Farret at Vias Plage, Languedoc

This family run park offers everything you could need for a sun and sand holiday with plenty to do for the whole family. The lagoon style pool complex, surrounded by palms and shrubs, is a real sun trap and even better a newly planned spa and extended pool. The park also offers no less than seven playgrounds, while adults can enjoy sports that range from table tennis to archery. Le Farret benefits from direct access to a wonderful sandy Mediterranean beach and the site's excellent restaurant and pirate themed bar facilities have more than enough to entertain you for the duration of your stay, however if you can tear yourself away from the park, a short 500m walk will take you directly into Vias Plage with its lively bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Les Tours at St Amans-des-Cots, Ardeche

Les Tours is an attractive park with a high standard of facilities and a great swimming pool complex and 'lazy river'. With good sized pitches laid out on a series of terraces and overlooking the gorgeous Lac de la Selves, its a lovely spot for boating and swimming. Beyond Les Tours itself, you will find that you are superbly placed between the Auvergne and the Lot Valley. The enchanting town of Espalion is just 32km south, with its 13th century red sandstone bridge and charmingly small riverside chateau making it well worth a visit.

Holiday Green at Frejus, Cote d'Azur

The huge Californian pool complex is great fun for all the family and includes a children's pool with water games, and a covered heated pool, toboggans, solarium and jacuzzi. Throughout the season there are aqua aerobics, water polo and water volleyball tournament and in July and August swimming lessons, fun waterskiing and even deep-sea diving instruction. The park has a restaurant, bar, supermarket, fitness room, tennis court, boules pitch, archery and mountain biking. There is also free evening entertainment and themed restaurant nights. Due to the undulating nature of the terrain on this park and the placement of some of the pitches on quite steep terraces, this park is not ideal for those with mobility problems.
