The park owners provide a warm and friendly welcome and the site has a quiet rural France feel. Set in the heart of the Massereau estate of 40 hectares of vines, grown by the owner, the park has a swimming pool with slides, a children's pool, trampoline, mini golf, running track, bike track, tennis, shop, playroom, bar and a restaurant offering grills done on a wood fire, pizzas around the swimming pool and take away snacks.

La Chapelle at Argeles Plage, Languedoc

Situated just 50m from the bustling resort of Argeles, La Chapelle is only 200m from a long sandy beach. The pitches on the park are large and grassy and are situated to the rear of the site with mature trees providing some shade on the majority of pitches. The pool complex is a great place to meet other holidaymakers or simply top up your tan and relax with a good book. For changes of scene why not visit Perpignan, the nearest city to the park, or if you want to travel a little further, Barcelona is also within reach for a day trip.

The site is a short path walk from a rocky cove where children are able to spend hours searching for shell fish. In high season you can take the free bus service which runs all day long between the campsite, the beach and the famous resort of Les Sables d'Olonne.

The park has an attractive bar and restaurant. Situated in the Loire, the location is ideal for exploring the many outstanding chateaux.

Outside, you can enjoy a swim in the sun at the beach, or a gallop at the equestrian centre nearby. Le Clarys Plage at St Jean Plage, Vendee

The high point of many people's holiday here is the wonderful swimming pool complex with its sun terraces, outdoor pool, choice of water-slides, heated indoor pool and even a jacuzzi. And yet, the magnificent beach at Merlin Plage is just a short stroll away, with the beaches of St Jeande- Monts just a little further. Even so, superb swimming facilities and wonderful beaches are only a small part of the reason for coming to this super park. There is an excellent children's play area here, and activities are first class too, with lively regular entertainment in the bar throughout the season, sometimes going on quite late in high summer. There are also several restaurants open nearby in the height of the season. Some of our pitches are across a road from the main park facilities.

There is also an excellent bar, restaurant, and crêperie, from which you can watch the children playing on the beach, or look out further to the bright sails of the windsurfers beyond. See it just once and you'll understand why Brittany's soft, sandy beaches are such a popular destination for families.

Spectacularly positioned in the Dourbie Valley between the Tarn Gorges and the Cevennes National Park, you are assured of a warm welcome at this exceptional park. Access has never been easier due to the new Millau Viaduct. Though quite steep, the open terraced pitches offer fantastic views looking out over the nearby village of Cantobre which clings to the rock face. The park offers many amenities, including a restaurant, bar and pizzeria housed in the medieval farm buildings at the bottom of the park. Yet the real beauty of Cantobre is the breadth of outdoor activities on offer. This is also a Walking and Wildlife park.

Holiday Green at Frejus, Cote d'Azur

Holiday Green is a well maintained site with a large Californian pool complex which is great fun for all the family and includes a children's pool with water games. It also has a new covered heated pool, toboggans, solarium and Jacuzzi. To keep the kids happy, a whole range of activities are held throughout the season and there are aqua aerobics, water polo and water volleyball tournament and in July and August swimming lessons, fun water-skiing and even deep-sea diving instruction. The park has a restaurant, bar, supermarket, fitness room, tennis court, boules pitch, archery and mountain biking. There is also free evening entertainment and themed restaurant nights. Due to the undulating nature of the terrain on this park and the placement of some of the pitches on quite steep terraces, this park is not ideal for elderly customers or those with mobility problems.

At this park you will find an impressive modern poolside bar complex to please all the family, with entertainment in high season. You are also close to a lakeside beach where you can hire pedalos and canoes. It is ideally situated for exploring the Chateau of the Loire region and the vineyards of Chinon and Vouvray. The town of Tours is also close by and is ideal for shopping and sightseeing.

One of the main attractions is the impressive swimming pool complex overlooked by the bar terrace, where the children will enjoy floating along the lazy river surrounding the huge water chutes. They can also try their hand at the unusual 18-hole crazy-golf course, not forgetting the beach is just 1.5km away. The picturesque old port of Roscoff is near by and offers boat trips to the island of Batz.

Camping International makes it all easy, situated as it does on an island of the Seine in the lovely Paris suburb of Maison-Laffitte. The beauty of this park is the ease with which it brings you into Paris Gard du Nord via the nearby railway station with its rapid, frequent service day or night. You should note however, that you may hear trains and barges from your accommodation. Opening at Easter, this is an ideal destination for a short break in its own right, or as a memorable stop during your main holiday.

Saint Avit Loisirs at Le Bugue, Dordogne

The modern facilities include a swimming pool complex, tropical-style indoor pool, crazy river and jacuzzi. The sports facilities are outstanding including recently built golf driving range and putting green, plus quad biking, tennis, football and gym amongst others. Six kilometres away is the busy town of Le Bugue.

Chateau lez Eaux at St Pair-sur-Mer, Normandy

This pretty campsite is close to the main route on the Cherbourg peninsula making it ideal for stopovers or the whole holiday. A quiet, friendly Castels park it's a great place to simply relax while you soak up the atmosphere and enjoy its beautiful setting in the grounds of the manor house. There are some well maintained facilities, which include a remodelled covered swimming complex with slides and a water chute. There is also a sandy beach close to the village of St Pair-sur Mer which is just over 2 miles away. There is also fishing on the little lake, free of charge. Ideal for young families, the friendly owners work extremely hard to make your stay here enjoyable.

This spectacular park that is ideally situated on the banks of a natural lake and it is surrounded by the wooded foothills of the Jura. It features a fantastic pool complex with waterslides, children's pool, jacuzzi and heated indoor pool, not to mention a wide range of sporting activities, though some may not be available until July. Park residents are entitled to free access to the pool according to a credit system for entry, please ask at time of booking. The adjoining lakeside beach is a great place to soak up the sun, but you can also fish, swim, or hire a pedalo or canoe. There are also many beautiful walks and gorgeous wine villages to be explored and the many attractions of Switzerland are within easy reach.
