St. Alban is a lightly shaded park that enjoys a stunning setting and offers plenty to do for even the most active of families. Domaine de la Bastide at Sampson, Auvergne

The huge Californian pool complex is great fun for all the family and includes a children's pool with water games, and a covered heated pool, toboggans, solarium and jacuzzi. Throughout the season there are aqua aerobics, water polo and water volleyball tournament and in July and August swimming lessons, fun waterskiing and even deep-sea diving instruction. Due to the undulating nature of the terrain on this park and the placement of some of the pitches on quite steep terraces, this park is not ideal for those with mobility problems.

Holiday Marina at Port Grimaud, Cote d'Azur
Holiday Marina is a small, modern campsite just 900m from the beach and set on the banks of the River Giscle. The campsite is set in a wonderful location within walking distance of picturesque Port Grimaud. The site has a spacious swimming pool with a separate pool for children, plus a jacuzzi. There is also a fantastic bar terrace which overlooks the pool and marina. Children will love the large play area while teenagers will never get bored with the sporting activities including football, basketball and archery. L'Ardechois at Vallon Pont D'Arc, Ardeche
L'Ardechois is a superbly well equipped park situated alongside one of the loveliest stretches of the Ardeche River. This makes it a perfect spot for swimming and canoeing, not to mention the excursions through the magnificent gorges that are such a popular part of the park's activities. Within the park itself, the impressive range of facilities include an attractive pool complex and a poolside bar. To keep the whole family amused, the park entertainment organise sports and fun from mid June, including weekly discos which are held in the open air or the bar. You are also just a short walk from Vallon Pont d'Arc, which is something of a focal point for tourists in this fascinating region.

Le Farret benefits from direct access to a wonderful sandy Mediterranean beach and the site's excellent restaurant and pirate themed bar facilities have more than enough to entertain you for the duration of your stay, however if you can tear yourself away from the park, a short 500m walk will take you directly into Vias Plage with its lively bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Off park try trekking at the Camargue National Park or take a ride along the 25 miles of purpose built cycle track which runs from Sommieres through the park itself.
