Chateau des Ormes is for you if you like water with a fantastic outdoor wave pool; two outdoor swimming pools; a tropical outdoor pool with waterslides; an indoor pool complex with water slides, lazy river and jacuzzi baths as well as a children's splash pool. Should the children bore of the water there is a children's club run by Al Fresco for 4-12 year olds. There are so many outdoor activities available you will have to work hard to find time to relax. Chateau lez Eaux at St Pair-sur-Mer, Normandy
Located close to the main route down the Cherbourg peninsula, this is a quiet, friendly 'Castels' park with a versatile location. On the one hand it's a great place to simply relax while you soak up the atmosphere and enjoy its beautiful setting in the grounds of the manor house. At the same time, it's ideally placed for stopovers. But whatever you come for, you'll find it an absolute delight. There are excellent facilities here, which include a beautifully landscaped and recently remodelled, covered water park that's complete with slides and water chutes, great fun for all ages. Don't forget your fishing rod either, as you're welcome to try your luck on the little lake, free of charge. Ideal for young families, the friendly owners work extremely hard to make your stay here enjoyable.
L'Etang de la Breche at Saumur, Loire Valley
The first thing that will strike you about this superb parc is the wonderful space and openness of the grounds. There are simply acres and acres for you to relax in and for the children to run off their spare energy. The facilities are excellent, including an impressive pool complex with waterslides and a separate toddler pool. The family proprietors are your hosts in the attractive bar and restaurant, and their personal approach is much in evidence throughout. The location is ideal for exploring, with l'Etang de la Breche nearby as well as many outstanding chateaux.
Yelloh Villages les Mouettes at Carantec, Brittany
The pool complex is just one of the amazing features of this Yelloh site. Little ones will love splashing around by the fountains and under the bridges, meanwhile can relax on the large sun terraces. In addition a new indoor pool is planned for 2010. Short tennis and mini-golf are ideal for children, while adults can unwind in the bubbling jacuzzi. In the evening you can relax on the bar terrace while the children migrate to the indoor games room or to the disco. A road leads you down from the site to a small beach where children can explore the rock pools with their nets at low tide.

Yello Village Cote de Nacre at St Aubin-sur-Mer, Normandy
Within 1/2 a mile of a sandy beach Cote de Nacre is a site with plenty to do including a tropical pool complex with swimming pool, water slides and chutes. There is a covered pool which is heated and a childrens splash pool. For those looking to relax there is a sauna and Hammam, There is a playground for smaller children and organised activities for children aged 7-10 years from mid July to August. For older children there is table tennis and table football as well as outdoor fun including a synthetic outdoor ice rink, multi sport pitch for football, basketball, volleyball and tennis. There is a bar, restaurant, takeaway on site. There is evening entertainment from mid July to August including weekly disco, live music, quizzes and karaoke.
Yelloh Village le Littoral at Les Sables-d'Olonne, Vendee
The campsite is situated next to a grassy headland with rock pools and coastal paths to explore. The facilities on site are superb and include a fantastic pool complex, which offers an outdoor pool with a large sun terrace, waterslides and jacuzzi, as well as a heated indoor pool. In high season families can enjoy a good programme of lively entertainment in the campsite bar or take one of the excursions to local attractions, such as the picturesque port of Pornic and the island nature reserve of Ile de Re. Please note that some noise from a nearby road may be heard from some of the pitches.
De la Baie at La Trinite-sur-Mer, Brittany
Run by enthusiastic owners, the park offers a wide range of organised children's activities, sports tournaments, bicycle tours and walks. It also features a lovely pool with some shade and a great waterslide. Its greatest attraction though is the choice of two safe sandy beaches, both just a short, safe stroll away. The Camping Sol-a-Gogo is a well kept park with direct access to a superb beach. Just a short stroll from the resort of Les Mouettes, the park has a fantastic swimming pool complex with water chutes, waterslides and a covered pool. A very well maintained park, including bar and a lively entertainment programme in high season. Some noise may be heard from the local road. The park is close to the lively resorts of St Hilaire and St Jean de Monts.
Camping la Grenouillere at Blois, Loire Valley
Camping la Grenouillere is set in countryside close to the banks of the Loire, this Castels site has a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a quiet holiday. The large pitches are positioned in both wooded and open areas. At the centre of the site is a rustic chateau surrounded by a moat, which houses a cosy bar and restaurant with a patio area overlooking the pool. Although just a 15 minute drive from the Vendee beaches, the park is set in breathtakingly beautiful woods, meadows and lakes. There is also an excellent children's play area, which along with the many activities makes this a popular family resort. The park runs entertainment throughout the season and there are many local restaurants close by.
Ty Nadan at Arzano, Brittany
Ty Nadan offers excellent facilities, not least of which are three outdoor pools, an indoor pool and spa with an impressive waterslide and twisting water chute.
